Why Pay to Volunteer?
Investing in Meaningful Change
Why not go it alone?
- Travel and visa support, orientation, and safe accommodation.
- A supportive environment with professional full-time staff.
- Clear expectations and a guaranteed positive, sustainable impact.
Where does the money go?
We are an independent organization funded 100% by volunteer fees. We do not rely on government funding or external fundraising. This independence allows us to set up projects where they will have the most impact.
Your fee covers not just your presence on the ground, but the entire infrastructure needed to run high-quality, sustainable projects globally.
Cost of the Volunteer Experience
Daily costs including meals, accommodation, transport, airport transfers, and project resources like school supplies or construction materials.
Organizational Costs
Investments in human resources, administration, financial controls, IT, and the skilled staff and infrastructure required to run the organization.
Government Taxes
We pay all required taxes, funding social systems and infrastructure as full participants in the social contract wherever we operate.
Indirect Costs
Full-time local staff support, office rent, utilities, equipment, communication infrastructure, and government registration costs.
Recruitment & Communication
Promoting projects to attract volunteers, which allows us to aim for larger social goals and achieve economies of scale.
Excess Revenue
Funds growth, new projects, emergency relief reserves (like in Philippines/Nepal), and ensures stability during low-volunteer periods.
