Phase 1

Arrival & Orientation

Day 1

Arusha

  • Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)
  • Meet & greet by Beyond
  • Boundaries representative
  • Transfer to volunteer house in Arusha
  • Welcome dinner & program overview

Day 2

Orientation

Morning: Full orientation (health, safety, customs, objectives).

Midday: Swahili basics & Arusha town walking tour.

Afternoon: SIM card and currency exchange support.

Phase 2

Volunteer Phase

2 Weeks of Structured Impact

Education

Assisting teachers with English and math, supporting small group learning.

Childcare Centers

Early childhood learning, creative play, and hygiene awareness.

Community Dev

Youth mentoring, women empowerment, and skills training support.

  • 7:30 am Breakfast
  • 8:30 am Volunteer activities begin

Weekend Immersion

Day 8

Maasai Culture

Visit a Maasai village for a traditional welcome ceremony. Learn about customs, livestock, and participate in a beadwork session.

Day 9

Nature & Coffee

Guided hike to a local waterfall followed by a visit to a coffee farm to learn the traditional coffee-making process.

Phase 4

Safari Phase

4 Days Northern Circuit Safari

Day 10

Tarangire

Game drive in Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Overnight at a mid-range lodge.

Day 11

Serengeti

Scenic drive toward the Serengeti with wildlife viewing en route. Afternoon game drive in the world’s most famous park.

Day 12

Serengeti

Full-day wildlife tracking in the Serengeti plains. Search for the Big Five and witness the vastness of the African savannah.

Day 13

Ngorongoro

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. High wildlife concentration including lions, buffalo, and hippos.

Day 14

Departure

Final breakfast and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). End of program.
