Phase 1

Arrival & Orientation

Day 1

Arrival

  • Arrival at Kilimanjaro
  • International Airport (JRO)
  • Meet & greet by program coordinator
  • Transfer to volunteer house in Arusha
  • Welcome dinner & introductions

Day 2

Preparation

Morning: Full orientation (safety, culture, objectives, responsibilities).

Midday: Swahili basics & Arusha town walking tour.

Afternoon: Placement briefing with local project supervisors.

Volunteer Phase2

Weeks of Impactful Service

Medical Outreach

Assisting clinic staff, patient intake, health education, and hygiene awareness.

Women Empowerment

Micro-enterprise workshops, bookkeeping basics, and business mentorship.

Youth Sports

Coaching training sessions, organizing leagues, and life-skills workshops.

Days 3–7

Week 1

Active placement in your chosen focus area. Typical hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.

Evenings: Reflection sessions and cultural discussion forums.

Days 8–9

Immersion

Day 8: Maasai village visit, traditional dance, and bead-making workshop.

Day 9: Waterfall hike and local coffee farm experience.

Week 2

Advanced contribution phase. Take on more leadership responsibility, facilitate discussions, and lead small sessions.

Leadership Development Workshop

A full-day structured workshop covering ethical volunteering, cross-cultural leadership, and impact measurement.

Safari Phase

5 Days Northern Circuit Safari

Day 16

Lake Manyara

Game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Famous for tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife. Overnight in Karatu.

Day 17

Serengeti

Scenic drive toward the Serengeti with wildlife viewing en route. Afternoon game drive upon arrival.

Day 18

Serengeti

Full day in the Serengeti plains. Big Five tracking and witnessing the vast ecosystem. Sunrise and sunset game drives.

Day 19

Ngorongoro

Morning game drive in Serengeti, then transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for crater rim views.

Day 20

Crater

Morning game drive in Serengeti, then transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for crater rim views.

Day 21

Departure

Breakfast and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). End of program.
