Africa Immersion Experience is a structured three-week journey designed for students, graduates, and young professionals seeking meaningful international exposure. Participants engage in supervised volunteering, complete a cultural competency training module, explore Tanzania’s premier wildlife destinations, and receive a formal LinkedIn recommendation letter upon successful completion. Phase 1

Arrival & Foundation

Arrival

  • Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)
  • Meet & greet by program coordinator
  • Transfer to accommodation in Arusha
  • Welcome dinner
  • Introduction to program objectives

Day 2

Orientation

  • Morning: Health/safety briefing, code of conduct, placement overview.
  • Midday: Swahili basics, local market visit.
  • Afternoon: Cultural Competency Framework (social structures, engagement principles, ethical standards).
  • Evening: Reflection session.

Safari Experience

5 Days of Wildlife Adventure

Day 15

Tarangire

Morning departure for a full-day game drive. Witness large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Overnight in a safari lodge.

Day 16

Serengeti

Scenic drive to the Serengeti with wildlife viewing en route. Afternoon game drive upon arrival.

Day 17

Serengeti

Sunrise game drive, Big Five tracking, picnic lunch in the plains, and sunset wildlife viewing.

Day 18

Ngorongoro

Morning wildlife viewing in Serengeti, transfer to Ngorongoro, and enjoy a crater rim sunset view.

Day 19

Crater

Early descent into the crater for high wildlife density viewing. Possible black rhino sighting before returning to Arusha.

Professional Development & Closure

Day 20

Certification

Morning:

Final reflection, presentation of volunteer summaries, cultural competency evaluation.

Afternoon (Career Dev):

Leveraging international experience, building a global CV, ethical storytelling for interviews.
